THIS IS A BLENDED LEARNING COURSE. Participants will receive a link to the online portion AFTER registration is complete. Participants will learn how to recognize water emergencies, perform First Aid and CPR and learn how to use an AED. This is an American Red Cross course. Certifications from the successful completion of this course in First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, and Lifesaving are valid for two years and are accepted nationwide. The prerequisites for this course are:
- Students must be at least 15 years old by the last day of class
- Students must pass a pre-course swimming skills tests prior to taking lifeguarding courses
All class participants will receive a hard-cased non-rebreather resusitation face mask.
